This book is absolutely amazing and incredibly potent. The illustrations (it's a graphic novel of sorts) are extremely effective. The story is that of the author and her family, as she grew up in Iran during the Islamic Revolution. Persepolis is highly recommended.Marjane Satrapi also wrote a sequel, Persepolis 2: The Story of a Return.
