Me Talk Pretty One Day is a delightfully amusing collection of essays by the (in)famous David Sedaris. The book is divided into two parts, the first entitled "One" and the second entitled "Deux*." The first half is filled with stories of growing up and dealing with an extraordinarily strange and bizarre family made up of strange and bizarre members. The second half of the book is about his life in France, after he moved there with his boyfriend, Hugh. It is also about the fact that he doesn't speak French, and chronicling some of his trials and tribulations learning the language. A very funny, light read.
