~by Joyce and River Higginbotham
This book was cleverly designed to be used either as a personal study, or as part of a larger study group and includes many different exercises. I found it to be a very good introduction to Paganism. The authors, who are Pagans themselves, did not try to force their opinions on their readers while encouraging open-mindedness and personal spirituality. Paganism, like any religion, is complex, especially when it is made up of many different traditions. This book provides an overview of common beliefs found in many of these traditions while recognizing their differences. The authors have also included a list of recommended reading to help fill in the gaps that are necessary when writing a book serving as an introduction to a subject.
