Maggie O'Connor is a psychologist who recently moved to her family's summer home on the Leelanau Peninsula in northern Michigan. There she meets Winona Pathfinder, a Sioux medicine woman, who has announced to her family the she will die in two months. As Maggie takes Winona on as a patient, Winona takes Maggie on a journey of personal discovery.An absolutely beautiful book. In my opinion, one of the best books I've read in a long time, and definitely and highly recommended.
Winona's Web is followed by two more books, Compass of the Heart and Crack at Dusk, Crook of Dawn.
