~by Caleb Carr
In an age flooded with information, how can you tell the truth from the fiction? Gideon Wolfe, criminal profiler and psychiatrist, is investigating the murder of a friend when he stumbles across a secret that will change his life forever. Everything he had assumed to be true is called into question when he discovers how easily information can be changed. He joins a group of information terrorists, but only too late do they discover how dangerous changing history can be.
Certainly not the best book ever written, but an enjoyable work of near-future fiction, nonetheless. It actually turned out to be quite a bit better than I had expected. Originally written as a serialized novella for Time.
